Cabling Technician

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience with low voltage and fiber optic cabling with an Associate degree in a related technical field or prior equivalent experience approved by management and the ability to achieve BICSI and manufacturere specific certifications.

 

Example of Duties:

  • Oversees installs, configures, maintain, test, and repairs client low voltage cable plants, door access and surveillance systems with documentation of work and network configurations.

  • Develops proposals for moderately complex cable systems.

  • Assists with voice communication and IT related projects and performs other cable related tasks as requested by management.

 

In this position, it is essential that candidates have effective interpersonal and communication skills to be able to work effectively with clients one-on-one as well as having above average technical skills in cabling systems and manufacturing/industry cabling standards.  Candidates must be self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic while being dependable and reliable, and exhibit a calm, professional demeanor. Candidates must also have strong organization skills and be able to work under pressure and deadlines.

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour

IT Professional

 The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on IT experience with a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems.

 

Example of Duties:

  • · Uses deductive problem-solving skills to investigate and solve a broad range of support issues from end user's application problems to server related issues.

  • · Troubleshoots networks, systems, software, hardware and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.

  • · Respond to customer inquiries with high degree of professionalism.

  • · Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems

Granite operates in a fast-paced environment and likewise, candidates must have strong organization, communication, great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.  Working remotely may be a feasible option based on skills, experience and availability. Occasional travel to Bozeman, MT office for training will be required.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
